laying on a makeshift bed of cot cushions, the following items are within reach should i find need for them in the night: pizza crust w. paper plate (all dishes are packed, not that it wouldn't be there anyway), broken bicycle, bags of clothes, rugs, blankets, picture frames, alarm clock, trusty laptop, dr. pepper. hard to believe that by this time tomorrow all traces of my stay here should be gone. two and a half years worth of flashbacks have been popping up since i paid the deposit on the new place.. all the different arrangements, various beautiful and exotic houseguests, impromptu 2-3-person dance parties, the agonizing midnight cramming hours.. but it's been close to a year since i've had it presentable enough for a party, and most of what i liked about the neighbourhood is long gone. the move will be good if i manage to pull it off. goodbye dear brothel - 5142-4 morris - i'll swing by for a visit if i ever see your red light on.

also, i'm listening to 'scattered leaves' by the be good tanyas. it's pretty perfect for my mood.
